Definitely recommend over another graviton hyper velocity snorefest eagle. 3-4 of these will do great work together in the hands of reckless AI as they don't give a shit about anything and won't need to in 95% of battles with their great 0.44 shields, flux friendly weapons, and great spacing options. The heavy blaster(s) blow holes in armor to expose hull or add more burst to shield dmg. Heavy mgs provide sustained flux efficient shield damage that will ensure you win the flux battle, run these on auto. This is great because it gives the eagle the option to chase or to back off for breathing room. Add in maneuvering jets and thats 170 speed boost. Altho it says its 70 speed its actually 120 in battle because SO gives the zero flux engine boost bonus of +50 at all times. others are shield modulation, helmsmanship, target analysis. Recommended skill that pairs best with this build is energy weapon mastery, which makes your heavy blaster do more damage which helps offset its inefficient flux ratio. if you don't run the skill for 3 smods then do hardened shields and drop heavy armor. I have SO, heavy armor and hardened shields smodded.

Solar shielding - nice to have when you get to late game, -20% energy weapon damage Stabilized shields - halves shield cost to 105 Hardened shields - with pilot skills should give 0.44 flux efficiency Two heavy mgs, 1 assault chain gun for mediums,ģ heavy mgs, 2 burst pds, 2 heavy blasters (run alternating fire) Recommend XIV version of eagle if you can find it, and the pilot skill for 3 smods in the blue line.
#Starsector ships running into eachother Patch
With the ability to smod SO this patch it's become a strong choice.

Even with its innate speed like you mentioned - all the more reason to SO it to make use of its good weapon slots, flux and ship system. I'm probably in the minority of ppl who runs entire SO fleets, just want to throw that out first because I'm biased and definitely recommend SO eagle lol.
